Teacher's Tuition Deduction

How is it calculated?

Any tuition of a teacher's family member can be deducted from his or her pay. However, the amount of allowed tuition deduction varies depending on the tax law of a given year. Furthermore, even if we know the amount beforehand, it is impossible to know how to allocate that amount when a teacher has multiple family members registering classes.

Our solution is to treat the teacher's tuition deduction as unlimited. Hence, if a user who has a family member teaching a class in that semester. The user's balance will always be 0. Administrators shall make manual adjustment accordingly.

How to obtain the record?

Administrators can obtain a teacher's tuition deductions in two ways. The first one is to use the Tuition Deduction function on utility. Here you can search the tuition report for each teacher.

The second way is to the tuition deduction report from Report utility, where all teacher's deduction will be listed.

How to change school's address?

Class location in the bottom left corner of the page

School addresses are configured in to locations. One is on the "Configuration" of the following key:

school.address

This value will be used to be displayed on the page's bottom left's Class Location. The note should be the URL of a location service, such as Google Map.

On Google map, find the desired location, then click the Share, and then copy the link and paste the value as the note.

Set the new.student.fee to the new value.

How to change the default tuition and early registration discount?

Change the configuration of the following value accordingly,

• tuition.activity
• tuition.discount.activity
• tuition.language
• tuition.discount.language

Please note, these value are only used when creating/copying courses. They can still be adjusted individually.
